About Us
We are working to empower every child affected by family violence and mental health.
The Carnelian Foundation
The Carnelian Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting children in families affected by family violence and mental health. We enable access to educational and positive activities, aiming to empower these children and help them build brighter futures.
Accessing our programs means children are more likely to continue with their education and foster positive relationships with community and peers. Our programs are child-focused, parent-led and community-driven.
The Carnelian Foundation was established in 2024 by Emi Hall who through personal experience knows the positive impact that music and sport can play in supporting children's social emotional wellbeing when experiencing family trauma.
Why
Families are also facing unprecedented financial pressures. We want to ensure that every child affected by family violence or mental health has the tools and resources they need to thrive.

Our commitment to reconciliation
We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Owners of the land. We are committed to Reconciliation and ensuring that our work and program delivery is informed by a deep understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ culture and history.
We are a child safe organisation
The Carnelian Foundation is committed to child safety and wellbeing in all aspects of our work. We follow and regularly monitor our compliance to government standards and legislative requirements for attention to child safety, including the Australian Human Rights Commission’s National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
